For many, personal recommendations are the way to go, a recommendation works because they are coming from a trusted source; your family, friends and co-workers are people that you know and you already trust their judgement, but what if you have no friends or family to ask?
In this day and age, you’re more likely to pick up your phone or tablet than pick up that so outdated method of a phone book; a few simple taps on the screen will usually get you the information that you need, at least to start narrowing down the selection.
hile the internet is a brilliant piece of modern technology, unless you search specifics, you’re just as likely to find companies 30, 40 or even 50 miles away from your own zip-code.
Most trades have an organising body, whilst it’s no guarantee, there is a good chance that if they belong to that organisation they will understand the importance of a job well done and just what it means to have good customer relations.
It may sound a little silly, but companies that have good social media presence do so because they want to interact with their customers. Poor service will mean that they have no customers to interact with.
